My fiance and I have been together for 4 years. We are in our 30's and finally found each other. We got engaged last year and had started saving for our wedding. Our wedding was going to be very simple but still would cost around $5000. Then in late November 2007 he developed a bone infection in his big toe. It had started to heal and we were very greatful. Then in January it came back and was spreading to his leg. He was in serious pain. He was admitted to the hospital and his toe was amputated. It has been difficult for him coping with his loss. We are very grateful that he is healthy now and did not lose his leg. I helped nurse him back to health and am very thankful that God heard my prayers to help him heal. Due to this surgery he got behind on his personal bills and now has extensive medical bills. We do not live together yet so he has separate rent and bills. The money that I was saving for the simple wedding I have used for a super simple wedding. We are grateful for his health and that we are able to get married. It would be great if we could get just a little help so that we can start our life together without so much debt.
